What is yoga?
Yoga is an ancient practice for body, mind and spirit. The word “yoga” is derived from a Sanskrit word and is often translated to mean ‘To Yoke” or “Union.” To experience yoga is to experience ultimate relaxation, which occurs when the mind, body, spirit and soul are in balance.
Yoga is used to strengthen the body, increase flexibility in the body, quiet the mind, balance the emotions, uplift the spirit and deepen the connection to the soul. It is a powerful tool for self-discovery and transformation.
Ultimately, yoga means different things to different people. It is a personal practice that is linked to many global cultures over the span of thousands of years. When you embrace your yoga practice, you embrace the fullness of yourself.

What can I expect during my yoga appointment?
A private yoga session is a wonderful introduction to yoga and is also a way to transform your current practice. The session will be personalized for you. You will be guided through pranayama (breathing) and physical postures (asanas) with complete focus on you and your needs. Bolsters, blocks, blankets and other yoga props will be used to assist you as you embody each yoga posture. Crystal Singing Bowls and Tibetan Bowls enhance your experience as you drift into relaxation. A private session allows you to address your goals in a safe, supported and compassionate environment.
Rest & Restore
Surrender to complete relaxation during a Restorative Yoga session. Experience the power of passive yoga postures supported by bolsters, blankets, blocks and other yoga props. Each posture takes you deeper and deeper into relaxation. Tibetan and crystal sound healing bowls complete this relaxing service. Leave restored and filled with calm and clarity.
Ultimate relaxation awaits you during a “yogic sleep” session. The practice of Yoga Nidra uses a systematic method of inducing relaxation in your mind, body and emotions. Experience a relaxing guided mediation that leads your consciousness through different levels to a place of calm and stillness. Your session will leave you renewed and relaxed.
Gentle Balance – Flow & Restore
A gentle and slow paced yoga flow is complemented by restorative postures. Yoga postures synchronized with breath leave your body strong and better aligned. The gentle flow transitions into restorative yoga poses using bolsters, blocks and blankets to ease you into supported relaxation. This 75-minute semi-private session is a good primer to private sessions and leaves you refreshed, balanced and inspired. Drop-in $15/class. Class must be scheduled in advance.
